Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova are the 2026 US Open women's doubles champions. On Friday, September 11, the top seeds defeated wild cards Ashlyn Krueger and Robin Montgomery 5–7, 6–0, 6–2 in Arthur Ashe Stadium, completing the career Grand Slam as a partnership.
The comeback gathered pace in the second set. Townsend and Siniakova took just 24 minutes to deliver the 6–0, striking 11 winners against two unforced errors. Krueger and Montgomery won only seven points in the set as the favorites took control of the match.
The deciding set required more resilience than the score suggests. At 1–1, the eventual champions overcame five game points on Krueger's serve before securing the break. In the final game, they saved five break points on Siniakova's serve before closing out the championship match.
The New York trophy completes a sequence spanning three seasons: Wimbledon in 2024, the Australian Open in 2025, and Roland Garros and the US Open in 2026. Townsend now owns titles at all four majors. Siniakova completes the collection for a second time with a different partner, having previously achieved the feat alongside Barbora Krejcikova. Townsend and Siniakova had finished runners-up at the 2025 US Open.
For Krueger and Montgomery, the run continues a story that began in juniors: the Americans won the US Open girls' doubles title together in 2021. They reached the senior final by overcoming Gabriela Dabrowski and Brazil's Luisa Stefani 4–6, 6–4, 7–6(8). In that semifinal, they recovered from 2–8 in the deciding tiebreak by winning the next eight points.
